This week I made a delicious and rich chocolate ripple cake. Hope you enjoy :) Ingredients: 500ml thickened cream 1 teaspoon caster sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 250g packet of Arnott's chocolate ripple biscuits Shaved chocolate, to serve Method: 1. Use an electric beater to beat the cream, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until firm peaks form 2. Spread a little of the cream mixture along a serving platter to make the base. 3. Stand 1 biscuit upright on its edge and spread with cream mixture. Place another biscuit alongside and sandwich together. 4. Continue layering with cream mixture and remaining biscuits to form a log. 5. Spread the remaining cream mixture over the biscuit log to cover. 6. Place in fridge for minimum of 6 hours, to allow the cream to softened the biscuits 7. Top with shaved chocolate and enjoy :) Sensory Analysis: Taste: Rich, Flavourful and Sweet Texture: Creamy, Soft and Smooth Aroma: Chocolaty, Sweet and Aromatic Appearance: White, Brown and Smooth Family Star Rating: 4.5/5 Reflection: This recipe fits in with the Australian guide to healthy eating Dairy and Carbohydrates. I mainly made this recipe myself, with my mum helping me coat the outer cream. I find that making desserts are more enjoyable, as there are more interesting methods involved. The main cooking process involved was beating the cream mixture and lining the biscuits in a log. Although desserts are not always the most healthy food, it is still healthy to have them, as your body needs sugar to survive. Along with the fact that you can't go your whole life without some dessert, or you will go crazy! This is a very easy recipe to anyone wanting to try it, it is very simple and is just a couple of ingredients! Hope you enjoyed this delicious recipe!
